THE WORLD START SHAKIN THE WORLD START SHAKIN THE WORLD START SHAKIN IT DOWN!!!!!
i love collective soul. it reminds me of freedom, summer, springtime, green grass, falling in love, midtown, downtown, being young... i guess those things describe it best but it doesn't really describe it for me... and i sound so old saying those things ("being young"), but it's true. anyway, i love it.

it kind of amazes me that there is a thought of life after school. i mean, teachers talk about it all the time. and the more i listen to them, and get it cognizantly into my head, it seems that they realize that homework is not what life is. they realize and yet they cannot do anything about it, it seems. this education administration... the adults i guess... i dunno, it just makes me question why we are pushed into so much of this, even though i know i would be bored and complaining if there wasn't school.
it's hard to explain. what i'm trying to say is that we learn all this stuff to succeed outside of the classroom, honestly. and yet what we, the students care about most, is the stuff inside the classroom. because it is what they make us care about.
WHY CLAIRE CARES ABOUT GETTING GOOD GRADES and WHY THIS IS:
1. i won't feel like i slacked off or didn't try--> i feel this way because teachers give us the impression that we are bad students if we slack off and that we "could have done better." and i would feel lazy and unaccomplished if i didn't... but i also really care about the teachers' opinions of me as a student and as a person.
2. i want to get into a good college--> self-explanatory. i guess.

ok... i am tired and need to go WORK i guess... so i'll post more later. but that's the jist, if anyone understood that... probably not.
